Swimmin’ Pool
Our new home has a swimming pool. And a playground. And other kids that have bikes. Keenan is thrilled about the latter of the two, but not so much with the pool. I don’t think he’s ever been in a pool before, so I’m not surprised. He does have arm floaties at his dad’s house. We’ll have to get the kiddo acclimated to the pool. It’s a heated pool too, so that will be a little easier. I don’t want his first pool experience to be a freezing one! I am not nearly that cruel.
The playground is nice, with a couple slides and monkey bars and a couple other things. He thought that was just the bee’s knees. He also got quite a kick out of all the little kiddie sized bikes and trikes around the complex that were stored on the balconies. He was thrilled about that too, since he knows his trike will be coming with us.
There’s also a dirt path up the road that I’m sure we’ll use. It connects with a larger avenue that has paths up and down both sides as well. We can walk to the fast food joint. Not. I still maintain that there needs to be a coffee shop on that avenue that is civilian, military, and kiddo friendly. Someday perhaps…Anyway, I intend on using those paths to jog. Yay! I am so thoroughly excited about this prospect that I can hardly contain myself. It’ll be about a four mile run and a mile walk. Of course, since it’s been a few years, it’ll take me awhile to build up to that, but I’ll settle for running two miles to start. Okay…maybe not running, but jogging whilst wheezing for air.
Thrilling prospect

Oh WOW! That all sounds absolutely fantastic! I’m so happy for you both – you really, really deserve it.
Can D and I come to visit?
Of course you can! Bring your swimmin’ trunks
